From Wednesday through Saturday, the Amarillo National Center at the Tri-State Fairgrounds will be buzzing with the sounds of rodeo action, music, friendly competition, and deep-rooted Western pride.

Here’s a breakdown of what’s happening this week and why you don’t want to miss a minute of it.

A Week of Western Tradition and Talent

The festivities kicked off Sunday with the 4-H National Anthem Contest, where young vocalists competed for the honor of singing during the main rodeo performances. A great way to start the celebration, this contest showcases local talent and sets the tone for the community-focused vibe of the entire event.

The official ribbon cutting will take place at 4 p.m. Wednesday at the Vance Reed Livestock Building (3301 SE 10th Ave), marking the formal start of this four-day celebration.
