The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has issued a stark warning about a disturbing pattern of violence targeting Tesla dealerships and vehicles across the country. According to the FBI, Tesla locations have been subjected to arson, gunfire, and vandalism, with the latest incident in Austin, Texas, raising further alarms.
Authorities in Austin responded early this morning to reports of “suspicious devices” found at a Tesla dealership. The Austin Police Department (APD) confirmed that upon investigation, the devices were determined to be incendiary in nature. A bomb squad was deployed to the scene, and law enforcement safely secured the devices without further incident.
“This is an open and ongoing investigation,” officials stated, as authorities work to determine who is behind the attacks and whether they are part of a coordinated effort.
Growing Concerns of Domestic Terrorism
The incident in Austin is just the latest in a rash of violent attacks on Tesla dealerships nationwide. Over the past several weeks:
Seattle: Four Tesla Cybertrucks were set on fire.
Oregon: A dealership was riddled with gunfire.
Las Vegas: Molotov cocktails were thrown at a Tesla showroom.
Boston: Tesla charging stations were set ablaze in an arson attack.
With at least 48 reported incidents in March alone, law enforcement officials are treating these attacks as serious threats.
Political Leaders Sound the Alarm
The surge in violence has sparked fierce political reactions, with several prominent leaders condemning the attacks and calling for swift action.
Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) took to social media to denounce the violence, questioning why Democratic leaders have not spoken out against what he called "deliberate domestic terrorism."
“Somebody is gonna get killed,” Cruz warned, further speculating that Democrats are cheering these attacks on—or even funding them.
Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton also weighed in, stating,
“The wave of domestic terrorism targeted at Tesla and the radical liberals encouraging these politically motivated attacks are sick and twisted.”
He pledged his support in helping law enforcement bring those responsible to justice.
Meanwhile, U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi has vowed severe consequences for the perpetrators. Her office has already charged several individuals under domestic terrorism statutes, some carrying mandatory five-year minimum sentences. She warned that authorities will pursue not only the attackers but also those behind the scenes who may be funding and coordinating these crimes.
Federal Task Force Launched to Investigate Tesla Attacks
In response to the escalating violence, a new federal agency task force has been formed to investigate and combat the surge in Tesla-related attacks.
FBI Director Kash Patel reaffirmed the bureau’s commitment to cracking down on those responsible, writing on social media:
“This is domestic terrorism. Those responsible will be pursued, caught, and brought to justice.”
With tensions rising and the attacks growing bolder, law enforcement agencies nationwide are ramping up security at Tesla facilities. The FBI has urged the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity near Tesla dealerships or charging stations.
