A woman was killed in a stabbing late Saturday night, leading to the arrest of a 26-year-old suspect, according to the Randall County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies responded to a call in the 19200 block of West County Road 34 shortly after 10:30 p.m. The 911 caller reported that a woman had been stabbed and the suspect had fled the scene.
When law enforcement arrived, including officials from the Texas Department of Public Safety, they found the woman dead. Authorities have not yet released her identity.
Multiple agencies were called in to assist in locating the suspect, who was later taken into custody. The 26-year-old was booked into Randall County Jail on a charge of alleged murder.
An autopsy has been ordered, and the investigation remains ongoing. Officials have not disclosed any potential motives or additional details at this time.
