The candidate filing deadline for the May 3 General Election passed on Friday at 5 p.m., setting the stage for a packed ballot across Amarillo, Canyon, and surrounding school districts. However, write-in candidates still have until Tuesday at 5 p.m. to enter the race. Candidates will draw for ballot order on Thursday.
Amarillo City Council Race
Amarillo voters will decide on their next mayor and four city council seats. The following candidates have filed:
