Pampa police officer stops armed robbery, suspect in custody

A routine business check turned into a dramatic arrest early Wednesday morning when a Pampa Police Department officer interrupted an armed robbery in progress at a local convenience store.

At approximately 3:10 a.m. on February 14th, the officer entered the Allsup’s Convenience Store at 2300 Perryton Parkway for a routine patrol. Inside, the officer immediately encountered a masked and gloved suspect, later identified as 19-year-old Christian Webb, pointing a firearm at two store clerks.

Reacting swiftly, the officer ordered Webb to drop his weapon. Webb complied without resistance and was taken into custody without further incident. He was later booked into the Gray County Jail on charges of Aggravated Robbery.

The Pampa Police Department credited its community policing model, which includes regular business and school checks, for helping prevent crime and ensuring public safety.

“This incident highlights the importance of our officers’ proactive efforts in protecting the community,” the department stated. “Outstanding job to our officers on shift last night!”

Authorities continue to investigate the case, but thanks to the officer’s quick response, no injuries were reported, and a dangerous situation was resolved peacefully.
