Authorities have identified the two individuals found deceased in a Canyon apartment earlier this week. The victims have been named as Charles Daniel, 41, and Morgan Thompson, 24, both residents of Canyon.
On Wednesday morning, Canyon police responded to a welfare check at the Cimarron Apartments, located at 10 Cottonwood Lane. Officers arrived at the scene at approximately 10:40 a.m. Upon entering the residence, they discovered the two individuals deceased inside the apartment.
The circumstances surrounding the deaths remain unclear, and authorities have not disclosed any additional details about the incident. Autopsies have been ordered to determine the causes of death, and the investigation is ongoing.
Captain Matthew Coggins of the Canyon Police Department assured the public that there is no immediate danger linked to the incident. “We don’t really have much more to add while it is still under investigation, but I will add at this time we do not believe there is a danger to the public related to this incident,” said Capt. Coggins.
At this stage, investigators have not confirmed whether foul play is suspected.
