Local Republicans celebrate President Trump’s second term


Cheers filled the room as Randall County Republicans gathered to celebrate the presidential transition, expressing their enthusiasm for President Trump’s second term and his policy agenda.

Randall County Republican Chairman Kelly Giles noted the inauguration has energized the party. "In moving forward, I feel like the way we keep that going is we, as a party, have to keep pushing that mantra of all-inclusive," Giles said. "We have a process to getting to the best solutions, but everybody's voice gets to be heard in our party."

The 2024 election saw record-breaking voter turnout nationwide, with significant Republican victories rooted in grassroots efforts. Giles highlighted the local impact. "Randall County had a record amount of people vote. A lot of hard work by the people in this room—phone calls, block walking, social media, radio, electronic billboards—we were very active in this political session," he said.

Jamie Haynes, a local supporter, praised the efforts of grassroots activists in the Texas Panhandle. "These are all of our grassroots activists in Amarillo and in the Texas Panhandle. They're excited about all the hard work they put in," Haynes said. "Today is a great day to come in and celebrate our achievement and having our candidate."

Looking ahead, supporters are optimistic about the administration’s impact. "He's got a stellar team on board, and I think the things they're gonna do is gonna be transformational not just for the United States but really on a global scale," Haynes added.

The event reflected unity and anticipation as local Republicans look forward to the implementation of Trump’s policies.
