The City of Amarillo is inviting residents to celebrate the grand opening of its brand-new City Hall on Tuesday, February 25. The event will take place at 623 South Johnson Street, with festivities kicking off at 10 a.m.
A ribbon-cutting ceremony will mark the official opening, followed by guided tours of the facility until 1 p.m. City officials say the new building is designed to serve as the heart of city government, bringing most departments under one roof for better efficiency and accessibility.
As part of the celebration, the City Council will hold its first official meeting in the new council chambers at 3 p.m.
