TSA PreCheck enrollment event coming to Rick Husband International Airport

Rick Husband Amarillo International Airport (RHAIA) will host a TSA PreCheck enrollment event from January 7 to January 10. The event, held in collaboration with IDEMIA, a TSA PreCheck authorized enrollment provider, offers travelers a convenient way to enroll in the program.

Enrollment will take place daily from 9 a.m. to noon and from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. at RHAIA. TSA PreCheck is open to U.S. citizens, U.S. nationals, and lawful permanent residents. Applicants must provide proof of identity, proof of citizenship, fingerprints, and a photo during their in-person appointment. Completing the online application in advance can streamline the process.

The enrollment fee is $78, which covers a five-year membership. Approved applicants typically receive their Known Traveler Number (KTN) within three to five days. The KTN must be added to flight reservations to access TSA PreCheck benefits.

TSA PreCheck members enjoy expedited security screening, skipping the need to remove shoes, laptops, liquids, belts, or light jackets. Dedicated screening lanes are available at over 200 airports across the U.S.

If you’re unable to attend the RHAIA event, you can still apply online and schedule an appointment at one of over 550 enrollment centers nationwide.

TSA PreCheck, introduced in 2011, continues to make airport security faster and more efficient for low-risk travelers.
