Transformation Park in Amarillo is embarking on a new initiative to support the homeless by providing essential resources and a safe haven. The organization is calling on the public to help make their vision a reality through the 20,000 Strong Campaign.
Executive Director Mark Zimmerman explained the campaign’s goal: “If 20,000 people commit to donating $10 a month, it will have an incredible impact on the community. Every dollar supports operations, from electric and food bills to hygiene items, staff salaries, and services.”
The contributions will fund vital resources such as shelter, support services, and job training, helping individuals transition off the streets into stable living situations.
Zimmerman emphasized the accessibility of the campaign: “I’m really proud of the 20,000 Strong idea. Many of us might not be able to give large amounts, but $10 a month is something we can do. I encourage everyone to be a part of this.”
