Pampa to become tech hub with 500-acre data center powered by renewable energy

A transformative 500-acre data center development is set to rise in Pampa, Texas, following a partnership between Duos Technologies Group, Inc., Fortress Investment Group, and the Pampa Energy Center. The project aims to establish a High-Density Data Center (HDDC) park powered by up to 500 megawatts of natural gas self-generation and 200 megawatts of wind and alternative fuel sources for energy redundancy.

The center will feature four 50MW HDDCs, with the first expected to become operational by late 2025. Duos Edge AI, a subsidiary of Duos Technologies, will lead the infrastructure development for the initiative.

“This partnership transforms Pampa into a dynamic hub of innovation, connectivity, and economic strength,” said Glennette Goode, President of Pampa Energy Center. “With this project, we are diversifying our economic base and setting the stage for long-term prosperity.”

The development is expected to bring new jobs to the region, helping Pampa emerge as a leader in high-density data centers and alternative energy solutions. "This collaboration not only addresses the U.S. data center demand shortfall but also sets Pampa on an innovative path forward,” said Doug Recker, President of Duos Edge AI.

The Pampa Energy Center board expressed optimism about leveraging the Texas Panhandle’s wind energy potential, signaling a new era of growth for the area.
