Currently Vice President of Student Affairs at Saint Petersburg College, Dr. Conner emphasized Amarillo College’s role in education, workforce training, and community engagement. As a first-generation college graduate, she shared a personal journey that underscores her commitment to student success.

Dr. Conner’s priorities include aligning curricula with workforce needs, integrating advanced technology into academics, and fostering an inclusive campus culture. Dr. Sobey, Vice President for Academic Affairs at Emerald College and a long-time Amarillo College faculty member, focused on enhancing dual credit programs, expanding technical education, and fostering partnerships with local industries.

His vision includes addressing mental health challenges, increasing faculty development, and creating seamless pathways for students transferring to four-year institutions or entering the workforce. “By partnering with local organizations and employers, we can address social and economic challenges and build a stronger community,” Dr. Sobey stated.
