The Amarillo Police Department is seeking the public’s help in gathering information about a shooting and possible robbery that left a man seriously injured early Sunday morning.
According to police, officers were dispatched to the 7900 block of Goldenview at approximately 3:16 a.m. following reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, they found a man who said he was shot in his driveway by an unknown individual.
Authorities revealed that the victim had been carrying cash, which was reported missing after the shooting. The man was transported to a hospital to receive treatment for what police described as "serious injuries."
The department’s Violent Crimes Unit is actively investigating the incident.
