The unofficial results are in for Amarillo's Nov. 5 election. Voters rejected Propositions A through D, while Proposition E, which establishes vacancy provisions for the mayor and city council, passed.
As previously reported, 55.45% of Randall County's 101,636 registered voters participated in early voting, while 41.28% of Potter County's 59,511 registered voters cast early or absentee ballots. Both counties have confirmed that all precincts' votes have been counted and consolidated by the City of Amarillo, which has provided these unofficial final totals.
Proposition A: To declare Amarillo a sanctuary city for the unborn
For: 27,544 (40.54%)
Against: 40,392 (59.46%)
Proposition B: Expanding the city council from four members plus the mayor to six members plus the mayor
For: 31,541 (47.57%)
