Pampa woman shot, suspect arrested

Early Sunday morning, Pampa police officers were dispatched to the 1300 block of East Kingsmill in reference to a 911 call stating someone had been shot.

Upon arrival, officers discovered a 31 year old female with a gunshot wound to the chest.  Gray County EMS treated and transported the patient to Pampa Regional Medical Center where the victim was flown to a nearby hospital for further treatment and is now considered in stable condition.

The suspect, 31 year old Omar Saldierna fled the scene prior to Officers arriving on scene.  He later turned himself in at the Gray County Sheriff’s Office where Pampa police officers took him into custody.  

Saldierna was charged with Aggravated Assault w/ a Deadly Weapon and Injury to a Child SBI/MENTAL.
