APD investigating homicide in 500 block of Jason

Late Tuesday night, Amarillo police officers were called to the 500 block of Jason Avenue on a person being shot. 

When officers arrived, they found Tiray James Evans, 26, suffering from a gunshot wound. Tiray died at the scene. 

The suspect in this shooting left the scene in a vehicle. Amarillo police have not released a description of the suspect or vehicle.

APD Homicide is investigating this incident.
